About the costs
The costs for the violin making course or training are largely determined by the pace at which you participate.
It is possible to come and build for 3 days during the week, but you can also come for a weekend once every 3 or 6 weeks. And everything in between is also possible.
This way you can determine your own investment in time and money.
W.b. the material:
The costs for a set of wood for a violin/viola are around € 250.
Accessories for violin/alto cost approximately € 130,- excluding strings.
Naturally, the costs for the material for a cello or double bass are higher.
Tools are available in the workshop.
Most students purchase some tools themselves after a while.
For people who live far away, there is the option to come and build for 2 or 3 days in a row. There are several B&Bs in Makkum at very reasonable prices, where students from the violin making school often stay.
